Hope In Action Counseling

Welcome! I'm here to provide you with hope!

Christine Jeffers, LCSW (She/Her)
Founder of Hope In Action Counseling

My name is Christine Jeffers and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I am passionate about providing space for others when they don't know where to turn or want to discover who they are, which is something to celebrate and embrace!

You are NOT alone

Attempting to navigate this world alone sounds extremely challenging and I am hear to tell you, you don't have too. Asking for support is an act of courage and should be celebrated. I find a sense of fulfillment in being able to walk alongside a person when faced with barriers within their life. Not every journey will look the same, but I believe that everyone deserves to have someone in their corner cheering them along the way.

How I live out my passion as a therapist

Everyone human deserves to be heard and understood. I value the power of human connection and within our sessions I hope to assist you in growing connections with others to feel more fulfilled to allow you to be your most authentic self. There is no shame in wanting to explore and developing into yourself.

How I help others

I recognize that as humans, we all are a work in progress and no one is perfect. Often we carry feelings of shame, guilt, fear which can be hard to manage alone. We will walk alongside of one another while you overcome challenges and barriers within your life that may be from depression, anxiety, relational issues, or substance use.

I want to help you rewrite your narrative and see change as a sign of growth and hope. Being "in progress" is a gift!

How will this work?

I offer individual and couples psychotherapy services to individuals over the age of 14 years old. I use a combination of therapy techniques suited to your individual needs which may include: Cognitive-Behavioral (CBT), Client Centered Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Holistic and Humanistic Therapy.

My experience

I earned a Master of Social Work degree from West Chester University and my undergraduate degree is a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the Millersville University. I have worked in a variety of settings including inpatient, outpatient, and community based settings. I value my time working with adults with serious mental illness helping them to gain skills in managing their illness and developing healthy coping techniques to reach their identified goals.
